4th International Conference on Sensitivity Research

The fourth such conference is about to be held on 19 and 20 June 2026 at the University of Pavia in Italy.

It brings together leading researchers, scholars and practitioners to share and learn about the latest sensitivity research.  Last booking date for online attendance is 18 June.

You can access the programme here.

The conference flows from the work of the Sensitivity Research team.  You can find out more about them here.

Their work is all about the trait of sensitivity, in all its guises. The website is run by researchers dedicated to sharing reliable information about sensitivity and providing valuable resources for highly sensitive people as well as educators, parents, practitioners, and researchers.

The conference itself includes sessions on a variety of topics, including:

  • sensitivity and mental health
  • observed sensitivity in infancy
  • sensory overload and optimal working conditions
  • the relationship between sensitivity and ADHD & autism
  • emotional self-regulation in HSPs
  • supporting HSPs in therapy and counselling
  • autobiographical memory and future thought

I’m attending online.  Apart from the cost of attending in-person, Italy in June would just be far too hot for this fair-skinned, blue-eyed, freckled HSP!

So, hope to see you there, in this sensitivity-nourishing virtual space?
